B-days all around

So it worked out pretty well this week being comps with Elder Affonso because his B-Day was yesterday (the 7th) and mine is on Friday (the 10th) so the members were able to kill two extremely-large-and-ever-gaining-weight birds with one boulder. One family that takes care of a bunch of children threw us a little party yesterday which was pretty cool. The kids made up this little presentation that I filmed but ended up being really long and surprisingly extremely unorganized. Really funny though and they had a bunch of fun putting it on for us. I wouldn't pay to see it again though.

Today we are going to get another party actually at Rute and Alexandre's house. It is a tradition here in Brazil to throw eggs at the person who is having a b-day. I thought that b-days were supposed to be fun and not hurtful to the person that is HAVING the b-day...but you know...me and my twisted mind. Doesn't sound like it's going to be TOO much fun but we brought an extra set of clothes.

There are also photos of Nycoly's baptism that we had on Saturday. She asked me to baptize her so that was sweet and I got to put on the beloved white moo moo again. Any excuse to put it on is awesome. The baptism went really well and it was awesome because Nycoly's mom and grandpa loved it. Afterward they said "They did the whole baptismal service just for her!! I couldn't believe it!" That's because everyone here is used to all the other random churches here that could care less about their members. It was way cool.

Well, hope the 4th of July was good for everyone! Fireworks = cool/want to use them but can't. Farewell!
